About Me

My name is Truman Nelson. I am a Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot (CMEL), Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFI-I), and the proud owner of Patriot Aviation.

I began my aviation journey in 2019 at Phoenix Flight Academy, where I worked as a dispatcher while pursuing my Private Pilot Certificate. Following that, I was accepted into the Southwest Airlines Destination 225° Cadet Program, where I earned my Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, Multi-Engine Rating, and both my Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFI-I) certificates.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of training pilots in Phoenix, Arizona, and Pensacola, Florida, with over 500 hours of dual instruction given, more than 9 successful student checkride endorsements and over 1100 hours of total flight time.
